Russian Kindjal Dagger CossackUp fro auction is a rare russian cossack kindjal dagger. This kindjal was made circa end of 19th beginning of 20th century with the name of the owner engraved on the silver part of the scabbard. To my knowledge teh markings on the silver show that it was produced in st.
Petersburg. Total length of the dagger is 22.5 inches, blade lentgh is 13.5 inches. The blade is very sharp and has an engraving of the coat of arms of the russian empire (double headed eagle). In addition there is another engraving on a silver part of the scabbard with '?
' which i'm not sure is original. The handle is made from bone, and the silver part of the handle was restored some time in the 20th century as it does not match the silver parts of the scabbard.Reasonable reserev price set.
