Details a long and broad slightly curved single edged blade with a wied full-length fuller. A hilt made of brown bone grips-scales with a hooked bifurcated pommel retained by two iron rivets. On the base of this sword was designed the government issue 1904 pattern trooper's kuban cossack shashka and mass produced by the zlatoust arms factory, except that this is an older 19th century version of the kuban cossack sword. Condition the sword is in good condition except for a small crack in one of the horn scales near the lower rivet and some minor pitting to the blade. Measurements overlal length 90 cm (35 3/8 in).
